Steak and Rice Recipe




Cut 3 lbs of round steak into thin strips then into small squares. Brown in 2 Tablespoons cooking oil.

Season with:
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 cloves garlic, crushed or garlic flakes

Add:
2/3 cup dry cooking wine
2 cans (16 oz) tomatoes
1 cup beef broth (Instant bouillon may be used)
2 med. onions sliced thin
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. thyme

Bring to a boil-cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 25 minutes. Remove bay leaves. Serve over rice.

This sounds really good, and inexpensive. Also gluten free, soy free, AND dairy free (watch the beef broth/bouillon).
